Some of what I will say has been already said by others but here goes -
First of all, my hat goes off to all of the CRRM staff and volunteers for all your hard work in hosting the event! Ladies and gentlemen, wonderful job! Donald, you can be proud!
Next, a big thank you to all of you men and women who came – some from great distances – to be a part of this! Four (that I know of) of our Galloping Goose Historical Society members came from overseas – from Japan, Germany and England!
Almost all of the visitors I talked with were friendly and happy. They were impressed with the whole thing – even after having to ride in shuttle busses and stand in long lines to ride a Goose.
Thanks to the news media that covered the event!
I am always glad to see so many happy little kids! They are the future railfans and historians!
I am very proud of all of our volunteers in Dolores for all the hundreds of hours of preparation work that went to getting Galloping Goose No. 5 ready for the event! Thanks guys!
Goose No. 3 not being there was a very big disappointment for me in a selfish personal way. It is the only one of the seven I haven’t driven!
Goose No. 4 being there in all her restored splendor was great!
Meeting and visiting many of you who post on this forum was great! I’m sorry I couldn’t have spent more time doing that!
I just can’t say enough about “Skanska International – Rocky Mountain District” construction company out of Cortez, Colorado who supply the trucks to haul us to events like these! They also transported Goose No. 4 to Golden from Ridgway. Without their generosity we wouldn’t be able to afford to travel so frequently – if at all!
I had two of my six sons and six of thirteen grandchildren come on Sunday to watch Dad/Grandpa drive Goose No. 5. What a great Father’s Day gift that was!
Now I have to pack my bags again and get ready to take Galloping Goose No. 5 to Chama a week from Monday for the big 4th of July week celebrations on the Cumbres & Toltec!

Now, that's what I call a "photo line"!
