Silver Vista

Last year my wife and I had the pleasure of riding the Silver Vista on Sunday of the Memorial Day weekend. The weather was perfect and the ride flawless. It was my wife's first ride on the narrow gauge and - lucky for me - a positive experience for her. I had finished a nice contract job in ABQ a few months earlier and could afford the premium ride.

This was the first time I had been on the D&S since 1983. The only problem now is that I am spoiled and prefer to ride the "dome" car.

Wish I could go again this Memorial Day weekend, but the financial situation is different this year, plus chemotherapy has made me a bit sensitive to rockin' and rollin' and cold temperatures. Maybe next year???
