Cumbres and Toltec Scenic Railroad 2011 Nostalgic Reproduction Video Footage

After recently color correcting the above footage from a C&TSRR chasing excursion last summer I found it possibly enlightening to ask this boards opinion on whether or not persons found this High-Definition reproduction of early 8mm color film as a proper "textured" match to its earlier non-digital format.

So... Does the above footage present an authentic representation of early 8mm color film?

Any technical advice toward further refinement would be appreciated!
