What is it?

February 18, 2012 05:57PM
I was out exploring what I beleive to be the site of a NG wreck in 1918 and found this rusty relic. It seems like some sort of lever but as you can see it has been eaten away quite a bit over the years. It is about 6" long and 1" wide with about a 1/2" protrusion on one end (the other side is flat). It fits nicely in my hand so that is why I thought it might be some sort of lever.

I should mention that no one was seriously injured in this wreck. Just a busted up locomotive and a few freight cars.
