C & C Narrow Gauge Then & Now photos #10

Here is a pair of photos taken at the top of Montgomery Pass. The "Then" photo is from Brian Norden's collection and was apparently taken from the back of a train as you can see reflections off the glass in the back door of a coach/caboose. Date is unknown, but probably 1920's.
The "Now" photo was taken on June 13, 2009. Much has changed at this location. Soper's Casino & Lodge is now defunct quickly succumbing to the hands of vandals. Sure wish I had a time machine...
This will be my last set for a few weeks. I leave tomorrow for the Southwest to go hiking and railfanning. Should be back in mid-August.
