NNG: Ford promoted to commodore

Sunday will mark the 63rd anniversary of Cunad-White Star senior captain Charles Musgrave Ford being promoted to commodore on the line. He was a commodore in the Royal Navy during WWII.
Ships in commanded included the RMS Aquitania, Queen Mary and Queen Elizabeth. Too bad he wasn't available for command of the Costa Concordia.
