Hi Folks,
Recently there was a post here announcing that the 4449 was pulling an excursion train to Owosso, MI. Well I caught the train on the Minneapolis to Chicago run and took the following pictures of the train crossing the BNSF dual hoist bridge over the St. Croix river. I hadn't seen #4449 since the Freedom Trains days back in the mid 70's so I enjoyed it immensely.
Not shown was the biggest disappointment of the day - there was an AmCrash helper engine directly behind the two tenders. The passenger consist was mixed but the Hiawatha observation cars finished off the train. I can post pictures of these in another post if anyone wants them.
