La Mothe cars

I was wondering how common La Mothe cars were. I just put two and two together that the Carson & Colorado tin cars and the South Park's metal gondolas were built under the same La Mothe patent.

For those whom aren't familiar, these were 1880ish cars built with metal pipes for sills. The Nevada State Railroad Museum has the remains of one of the C&C boxcars...

If you have a copy of John H. White's American Railroad Passenger Car, La Mothe's passenger car designs are discussed starting on page 117...I tend to recall the his freight car book also includes a discussion of them...but I'm not certain.

Do we know of any other NG railroads that had these?
