First 2 Cabeese SOLD OUT*, and other "Springtime" Info -

Hi, All -

Reminder: "Springtime in the Rockies", with green-jacketed #489, is scheduled to depart
from Antonito to Osier at 1:00 p.m. sharp on May 25, 2010.   Although discussed elsewhere
several times, this trivial bit of information was overlooked by that 'Wild Eyed Foamer' during the
hurried preparation of the flyer reproduced on [ngdiscussion.net].

As of Tuesday afternoon, May 4, all 24 caboose tickets have been reserved; 15 of the 26 rider-boxcar tickets were still available.

* The possibility of adding a third caboose - the 'Shorty' - with a capacity of eight (8) riders has been discussed with the C&TS Charter Specialist, Alan Loomis.  Due to the costs associated with this last-minute change, it can happen ONLY if at least six additional reservations, at the full price of $250 each - NO DISCOUNTS, except as described below - are received by the C&TS ticket agent by noon on Tuesday, May 18.

Please phone Ronnica at 1-888-286-2737 to purchase a boxcar ticket at $195 and/or put your name on the caboose waiting list and agree to pay an additional $50 upgrade price IF the Shorty is added.

IF the Shorty Caboose IS added to the consist, the number of seats available in the rider boxcar will be reduced by the number of additional caboose seats sold - minimum six, maximum eight - in order to keep the total number of people in the photo lines to the previously advertised maximum of fifty (50) photographers.  If a minimum of six additional caboose requests are not received by May 18, the Shorty will not be added, and persons on this waiting list will be seated in the rider boxcar.
