Windy Point clearing track w/snowcat 04-25-09

Started out at Cumbres Pass at 1:00 pm and got back and loaded the cat at 9:30 pm.We reached MP 332 at the bottom. Soni is thinking one more long day with the cat and some work with Snowzilla and the train can reach Cumbres Pass from Chama. Lesson learned for next year the snow removal needs to start sooner cuz you don't want any bare spots its much better to have some snow cover cuz the cat does NOT like bare ground. This will save a LOT of time and wear and tear on the snow cat. I am guessing we could of saved 2 to 3 hours of time if we would of had snow cover instead of the bare ground in spots. If we try and document this again next year for the railroad I will have a video camera as well as a still camera.

Most of the photos are taken from the passenger seat inside of the cat thru the front windshield so not the quality I would like but OH WELL.
