Hi,
I lost DSL service Friday Morning due to a thunderstorm and just got it back.
While scanning an 1868 Poors manual, I found two items of interest - oddities.
1) there was a railroad in New York State that was 4' 3.5" (not a typo - 51.5") and had about 1/3rd of the 47 miles dual gauge for Erie trackage rights (6 foot gauge).
2) there was a railroad somewhere that had a gauge of 5' 8.5" (sic) and a short piece of dual-gauge (if I understand the notations correctly) with 4' 8.5".
FWIW.
