Dolores News (Rico, Ouray Country) Sept 10, 1881:
A company has been organized to build a narrow gauge railroad from Denver to Golden, the track of which will only be eighteen inches in width. It is asserted that this scheme can be made a success. In the daytime passenger cars will be run between the two points, and during the night, while the passenger trains are not running, coal train will run from the mines in Golden to Denver.
Anyone ever hear of coal mines at Golden and did they get served by the Colorado Central?
