Here are a couple of items for Goose fans --

The monthly meeting of the Rocky Mountain Railroad Club will have an RGS program next Tuesday in Denver. This will include the world premiere of "Tin Feathers & Gasoline Fumes", a television program produced by Richard Luckin, in association with the Colorado Railroad Museum (50 year anniversary).

Learn about the Rio Grande Southern's Galloping Geese from those early days in 1931 to the end of passenger service in 1951. This program includes vintage Otto Perry film clips, and interviews with several well-known riders such as Richard Kindig, Cornelius W. Hauck, Bill Kratville and Bob LeMassena.

After the video presentation, Jim Ehernberger will be screening some of his collection of RGS slides.

Everyone is welcome at 7:15 pm on April 14, and location details are at the website.

On May 9 & 10 is the Mother's Day Galloping Goose fest at the Colorado RR Museum. The re-creation of motor #1 will be operating there, along with all of the others except for numbers 3 and 4.

Best regards, Dave Schaaf
