A New Narrow Gauge Mikado!

With all the hype in the UK about our new standard gauge locomotive "Tornado", I had completely forgotten that the Molli Bahn in northern Germany were having a new 3 ft. gauge (well, not quite, but 900mm = 35.43 inches!) Mikado built! It has now been delivered from the Meiningen locomotive works (the same place that built the boiler for Tornado).

The Molli web site has a page with plenty of clickable pictures showing details of the construction. Unfortunately this part of the web site is in German only, but Google makes a reasonable attempt at translating it. Follow the link below.
