Locomotive Type Z 0-8-0+0-6-0T 3349 built by Kitson-Meyer, Leeds in 1909 on display at the Santiago Railway Museum, Quinta Park on 29 November 2008. This rack and pinion fitted locomotive was one of nine locomotives built to work the Transandine Railway from Los Andes in Chile to Mendoza in Argentina. Chile had three and Argentina six of these locomotives. This locomotive was withdrawn in 1971 and is one of two now preserved in Chile, the other example being at Los Andes. Brian Dotson
