Maybe this question has been answered in one of the recent G&Q threads. But what is the big picture objective with this rebuilding the G&Q? Are they going to actually rehabilitate the line to first class condition, or are they just patching it up to carry tourists? Is this just kind of a pipe dream motivated by some sense of national pride, or does it have a chance of succeeding? If the line were fully rehabilitated, what would it haul?
