"Do you have any "First run of the Shavano" information"

This question was offered in another thread, I thought perhaps it could have its own thread.

The first run of the rebuilt Shavano was April 9, 1937.

No. 315 with engine 472 and 479 as helper
Consist of 8 cars was:

Depart Salida 6:00 AM
Arrive Marshall Pass 7:33 AM Helper 479 cut off
Depart Marshall Pass 7:38 AM
Arrive Gunnison 9:45 AM

Helper engine 479 depart Marshall Pass 8:40 AM for Gunnison
Arrive Gunnison 10:55 AM

No. 316 with engine 472 and 479 as helper
Depart Gunnison 6:10 PM with same consist
Marshall Pass times not shown Helper engine 479 cut off
Arrive Salida 9:45 PM

Helper engine 479 depart Marshall Pass 8:35 PM arrive Salida 10:35 PM

On April 10, 1937 No. 315 and No. 316 had 7 cars and engine 493 was used on both trains.

On April 11, 1937 No. 315 and No. 316 were down to 6 cars and engine 472 was used on both trains.

Parlor car "Salida" was put in service at a later date.
