Construction wye on C&C?

On one of our trips out to Montgomery Pass we found what appeared to be the faint traces of a small wye on the east side of the pass. I don't have a photo from the ground of this, but it does show up in this Googlemaps link:

Sorry, I can't seem to be able to copy & paste the map image. Any ideas on this? The terrain was flat enough that it would have been no problem building a short wye(or spur) during construction. We did not find any traces of ties or spikes, but it did appear as if large rocks had been moved.
