Here are some further of other problems dealing with water. In one we are looking at the tunnel to see if it is safe to go through. It was! Another shows typical water on the line which also can present problems but funnily enough only if you fix the track. If you leave it as it is then it generally works. The final one shows an attempt at weedkilling but this even worse as it may kill the grass but the resultant mulch is even worse for slipping. I think we will forget weedkilling in the future!
I hope this gives a flavour of a type of railroading that does not exist in the textbooks and I repeat all these lines carry passenger trains four times a day! I am not joking but the train must get through - and it does! And imagine how much fun it is to be involved in this type of railroading - and I mean that. You never get tired of it. It tests all your skills everyday.
