Chama Turntable-when was it removed?

I am new to this forum, but I have a question that I would like answered, and I think this is the place to get that answer.

I would like to model Chama in the late 40's in HOn3 and I know that there was 65' turntable there in the early 40's, but when was it removed? Was the roundhouse shortened at that time? And finally, how close was its design to that of Durango's? Thanks for the help.
