Sunday, Hughey Davis took a trip on snowshoes down the railroad (Silverton branch) about half a mile below the water tank, hunting show slides. Although the snow was quite deep in various places on the track, no slides had run within the limit travaled by him. The Big Turk’s Head Slide remained intact on the mountain as if stuck up there to stay. Six slides have run however between the tank and the snowshded. Davies is waiting for a carload of bees enroute from Durango, is somewhat concerned in regard to their arrival.
