Coaling facility on the SVRy

The SVRy burned only wood in it's engines untill the the 250,251, 17 and OLC 7 were converted to oil, right?
Well probably not, as I have heard from 2 different people who knew old timers that said they burned some coal. One account is that they filled the coal space on the engines under the wood pile with coal and only shoveled coal on the hills where it was tougher to keep up with wood. Another account was that they burned coal when dry wood was hard to come by. Casey Carlson and I at one point exchanged emails back and forth about a photo with what might be coal showing on a tender. The jury's out on that one.
What I just found that is interesting is an AFE refering to the retirement of the coaling facility in S.Baker. It is AFE 609 Oct. 12, 1946. It covers retirment of many buildings and facilites along the rr including the following: "Retire Coal Storage Platform, Costructed 5/18/17, AFE#42"
Coal Storage Platform, 16' x 90',
"Retire Air -Hoist (to run on narrow-gauge track for coaling-up engines), constructed 4/25/17 per AFE#44. Bucket;steel, 2'6"dia. x 3' deep. Dolly Track: 30# relay rail, with 6"x8"x6' ties spaced 4-ft.o.c. 310 track ft.
Does anyone know where this was located in S Baker and how the air hoist and bucket might have been used? What was the air source? I have seen an AFE for the retirement of one very large air compressor and replacement with an even larger one at the machine shop. Could such a hoist have been operated off of air from the engine being coaled?
