I know this isn't narrow gauge but I figured some of you guys would get a kick outa this. This is the New Hope & Ivyland Railroad. This was last fall and we were running two trains. One was the regular Lahaska train (steam powered) and one was our fall foliage train that ran our entire 18 miles of railroad. The two trains meet at New Hope mid day and usually we put the two trains together and leave the steamer on the back so that when we get to Lahaska we just cut our train off and the 40 doesn't have to run around the train. This keeps the trains on time. Usually its the diesel doing all the work and the steam crew gets a break. Well this day we were a little late and we had a student fireman we wanted to test a bit. So we had a little fun. That's me in the fireman's seat of the 40. btw we made up the time and the student passed the test.
