All this talk about using the old Silverton Northern engine house for the 315 got me to look at my copy of the Rainbow Route. I noticed on page 355 (I think) a picture of a whistle from one of the Silverton Northern engines and the caption implied that this whistle was saved before the engine left for the White Pass. Does anyone know anymore details on this whistle and where it might be today? It would be great to install it on the 315 so it could be heard in the valley again!
