My parents live near Easton Maryland and do volunteer work for a local maritime museum (http://www.cbmm.org/). Everytime I to visit they want to show me the newest exhibits or the latest restoration project. It's obvious this organization is well plugged into grant money. The general area has a lot of well to-do people that are intested in the history of the Chesapeake Bay. In fact, I just saw in Business Week that 6.7% of the area residents are millionares (not my parents, they live very modestly).
But guess where the top city in the country for percent millionares ? Los Alamos, with 9.7%. I know the Friends has had many members from there in the past I'mn wondering if maybe some extra effort might turn up some folks who might throw a couple hundred grand for some of the restoration projects only in the dream stage (e.g. 463, passenger cars, etc).
Maybe this is just wishful thinking.
