Nice article on narrow gauge in the Midwest in the Sept 08 issue of Railfan and Railroad mag. Nice photos especially of my personal favorite ex-S,S,&S, ex- Argent Lumber company #6. A damn fine looking loco with brass trim and all. (Course I am just a little biased as I have had my hand on her throttle twice a number of years ago
). A lot of really good work going on by the MCRR group headed up these days by Matt Crull who posts here regularly. Anyway the article is worth looking at. In the same issue there is also an article on the Midwest Electric operation at the same location for you juice freaks.
Pictures from the 2007 Reunion......mark your calendars, Labor Day is just around the corner.
End of dual gauge just out of picture to right>>
