I received a cd in mail today, "Boxcar Willie - King of the Railroad" I'd spotted on a local internet auction site. Most of the tunes are familiar, even this far south (way, way, way, south): Wabash Cannonball, Boxcar Blues, Wreck of Ol' 97, Mule Train (four legged locos) to name a few with a train theme, with an all too brief Train Medley at the end - Fire Ball Mail, Train of Love, Walking Cane, Wreck of Ol' 97, Orange Blossom Special*, Warbash Cannonball & Nigh Train to Memphis.
*(Special favourite of mine)
Years ago, I was also given a music/song book of US railroad songs by a friend, some were very obscure, but Casey Jones was there.
I wonder what train music you guys tap your collective feet to?
The CD cover features a nice front angle shot of a NG Baldwin (round builder name/numberplate on smoke box door) - the loco is #57.
