February 11th was a great day at Pine Creek as USS #45 made it's first revenue run.#45 sportad a new brake system that gave us air brakes for passenger service and a new set of bogies. The bogies were formally beneath USS #39 which has a bed generator and replaced the badly worn wheels on the 45.Afterward,with the northeast's firs major snow on the horizon,we conducted training runs for all the engineers present to get aquainted with the new brake system.Everyone was very impressed on how nice this locomotive ran.As Jim Hurley took that firs run out it gave the whoe team a great feeling of satisfaction for a job well done.
