K-37s and their tenders

I was looking at pictures of the K-37's in one of the books, and just took notice that they did not all have the same profile of tenders, as did the other K classes. Some had straight sides and some flared at the top of the coal bunker.
Anyone have any info as to why, and were they switched around on different 490's as they were shopped over the years, or did they pretty much keep the tender they were born with.
