This is a very interesting trip report, but still its sad to think of what it used to be, and what it is now... BUT I'll bet anyone could get a steam loco in fairly good condition for cheap. My particular favorites are the ones that ran on the Ma-Ao, they were 0-6-2 locos (with tenders, converted from saddle tankers?), but unfortunately they arn't listed in this report... They are listed on [steamlocomotive.info] but are listed as "dumped," so their fate dosen't sound good...
