Well I am back from California and the "exadus" from Silver plume is just about complete. Yesterday five flat cars were moved to canion City. Today the former White pass tank car #59 was moved to the railroad museum in golden. All that is left now is the G.E. center cab #15, a tank car, a flat car and a former West side Lumber Co.speeder.
The Silver Plume yards and shops are looking Like an abandon railroad....real empty with not much to see any more.
We will be done moving the last of our stuff off the property and have the place vacated sometime before Christmas.
when I leave Silver plume for the last time, I will probably never go back. This would be just too painful. besides I will be starting my new job sometime after the first of the year.
I will be working on the new Pacific Coast Railroad in California. This will be a challange for me and alot of fun as well. I will be there to help make this new operation grow and hopefully prosper.
I would like to thank all the folks who came out to the Colorado Rail Road museum this past weekend. I was told that the #14 did very well and that the event was a big hit. Alot of fun was had by all.
