The weather was a little on the crappy side today, hail the size of marbles, high winds, tons of rain, lightning, so I explored a section of the Sumpter Valley not far off the beaten track. I headed over to Whitney and poked around the sawmill, station site, and yards. Lots of remains out there, some of them pretty cool. I have pictures of a lot of the more interesting finds, and will start off with what you see below. It appears to be the badly damaged remains of a diamond stack, or at least it's about the right size and shape. I dunno, could just be weird sheet metal, you decide. Anyway, hope you like the rest of the shots and I apologize about their large size.
Enjoy, Taylor
