Dickies recently announced that Jerry Huck, Manager of Operations for the Sumpter Valley Railroad, as the 2004 Oregon Worker of the Year. He was nominated by Fred Horn, SVRR Board member, who wrote in his nomination essay “Jerry is an ideal worker who consistently gives 110-percent as an active participant in the work crews—the proverbial jack of all trades. His efforts have converted what appeared to be a junkyard into an open air museum of railroad history...”
