Morenci Southern exploration

Today I took a drive over to seek out some of the old Morenci Southern NG. The photo is what is left of the Owl Canyon bridge that is just south of the old Safford road. As you can see one span is still in place and the other is gone. Below the surviving span you can see parts of the span that is down. The arched concrete bridge in the background is where the auto road crossed the grade. This was known as the old Safford Road but it is now the Black Hills Back Country Byway.
