Could someone enlighten me on the 70 class (later C-17) D&RG 2-8-0's #'s 417-422 (I think) of 1887, the only remaining example being the #420/RGS #42? Not too much information seems to be available. I always wondered why the railroad disposed of this class rather early as apposed to the older C-16 & C-19 classes. Any info would be welcome.
