I have a couple of questions regarding D&RGW #345.
This relates to a model I am finishing that is On3, built by Katsumi for PSC.
It is a #345, and comes with perforated running boards, a large box headlight, and a C&S style snowplow that I can't believe is anything but the result of pure fantasy.
I know some engines have perforated or even partially perforated running boards. There was a big controversy over this issue some years ago that was settled when someone produced a photograph that showed sun spots that could only have come from perforations on the lower part of an engine that was in my memory a C-19.
So, does anyone know the answer to this? Did #345 have perforated running boards as modeled by both PSC and PBL?
I'm inclined to think it did.
Anyone ever see a photo of #345 on the C&S with a snowplow? I'm very skeptical about that.
But I hate to say "never", and just thought I'd ask.
