NNG UP 4455 move

Hopefully acceptable as a topic as it is at the Colorado RR Museum. RE: this recent move of the 0-6-0:

It always bothers me when I read something like "to the surprise of many, it rolled easily". That usually means no one got under the engine to drop the driving box lubrication cellars and polish the corrosion off the journals, thus grinding rust up into the soft babbitt bearings above. I realize this is a well-worn engine that isn't likely to run again, but I hate to see unnecessary damage caused by well-meaning volunteers. Few such moves do this essential preparation task beforehand.

As CRM has some savvy mechanics, I hope they did prepare the journals for movement, but wonder if anyone involved could comment further here?
