Osier Snow Rescue..P L U S !

The noon TV news today, lead with the story of the 'snowmobile-six' and the happy rescue at Osier. NM TV fed shots to the networks of happy relatives in Chama getting the news.

The NBC and CBS affiliates ran the story as the lead, and CBS4 even ran about two minutes of Osier in summer time and shows the train running in warm summer weather. The C&TS was mentioned many times.

Couple that tourism awareness message, with the rescue of two happy families,...and you have a winning story.

You CAN'T buy good publicity like this. There ain't enough money to buy publicity this good.

A win-win....for the most important element...the rescued people. Couple that story with the tourist RR who's station provided shelter, and you have a real winner. Proof is that both NBC and CBS used the story as the 'lead'!

There was another element of the story that I only partially got, and that was an element that a SNOW CAT reached them first. Could that have been our friend in CHAMA. Happy, joyful people want to know.
