Gentlemen, let me take this opportunity to thank you for the foregoing threads in re the Uintah Ry. I've greatly enjoyed the exchange, the attention to historic detail, the careful sleuthing. This is historic research at its best, and I count it a privelage to be able to observe it first-hand.
One of the most unpleasant aspects of this hobby is the tendency of some to hoard history. The collectors and money grubbers that hold priceless archives and artifacts to themselves, churlishly refusing to allow access to others who would learn from them.
The value of history lies in the lessons it holds for today but this value can only be realized if the lessons are shared.
The professionalism and information-sharing demonstrated here has been greatly appreciated. Please keep doing what you're doing, and sharing it with the rest of us.
