I just finished scanning 60 pages of the Sumpter Valley Railway Transportation Time Rolls for September 1915 and I have to say, they sure worked hard back then. Mr Cook worked every day during the month of September with a total of 348 hours!
Also, from other recent SVRy threads pertaining to amount of freight and passenger traffic, glean some thoughts from the difference in engineer/firemen hours split between the two different revenues. Freight had about three times the mileage.
Enjoy.
