6300-6314 D&RGW flats

April 01, 2001 05:29PM
Hi,
According to the old Friends site, 6314 is "6314 - Flat Car - Chama - Steel frame but mostly wood"
The drawing I have from the CRRM shows it as a wood flat 40' long with rails used for reinforcing as an addition in 1937. The trucks are 4'8" axle to axle.
The two pics of 6302 in Narrow Gauge Pictorial Vol III seems to show a wood car. I'm not sure what truck style was used.
1) Is the 6300-6314 series a wood flat car?
2) What type of trucks does it have?
3) Is the only survivor of the series the 6314 on the C&TS?
Thanks.
Doug
