How many Texans does it take to stop a C&TS Train?

Today I learned the answer: Three, plus one pickup! Today's Westbound C&TS train was delayed for about an hour because three foamers got their pickup truck stuck on the tracks. I don't know where they were from, but the pickup had Texas license plates, so I'm assuming they were Texans... probably on their way to Durango (ha-ha :-). The C&TS crew helped them get their truck off the tracks, which the three foamers were grateful for. The followed the westbound down the hill into Chama; passengers took turns heckling them.

The eastbound train also had a bad day -- it derailed somewhere east of Osier. I wasn't able to catch all the radio traffic on my scanner, but it sounded like the tender and parlor car derailed. Carlos may have been the engineer on that train; he was running the EB when it left Chama.
