#3 is the sole survivor of thew extensive narrow gauge lines around Clifton, Arizona. It is a true first cousin of the Rio Grande's C-21s. I think the Brill motorbus is also a Death Valley R.R. conveyance. Death Valley ore cars went to several buyers after its closing in 1931. Pioche Pacific took some as well as USP. Interestingly, the famed phgotographer Ansel Adams took a few photos of #3 in operation at Carlsbad. He did a lot more commercial work than people think. One of his other rare train photos is of a scrap train on the Yosemite Valley line in 1946.
