Keep your eyes on ebay. At least once a week a K-27 comes up. You can also go to Googel.com and search under HOn3 Brass. I have found a lot of hobby shops that may have one or two narrow gauge engines for sale.
I have two 27's and am happy with only one. I have a United that runs great. My other is an OLD westside that has the oversized boiler and sloped tender. I have torn it up so many times that it is the engine I use to try out new techniques on.
