White Pass takes 1881 Brooks 2-6-0 into shops

The White Pass & Yukon Route has announced on its web site that it has taken under long term lease its former #52. This 1881 Brooks 2-6-0 was originally built for the Utah & Northern. The engine has been on display in Skagway since 1971.
The White Pass will investigate the condition of the engine and then either restore it to operation or do a cosmetic restoration.
