Where can I find plans for the Cumbres Station (not the Section House)? Can someone tell me if the original building site is located in the path of Highway 17? I was told the reason the building was torn down was to make room for the highway. I think it is more likely that the railroad tore the building down to minimuize liability. Photos show the west end of the station building located about six or seven passenger car lengths from the Snow Shed opening. It is possible that the building would be just east but adjacent to the current highway crossing.
