The Chama/Cumbres book by the same author has a picture of a boxcar at Taos Junction with number only (page 153). It looks to me like it is 3682 but it isn't crystal clear. Just put it under a high power light and it is definitely 3682.
On page 160 there is a shot of a K-28 at Embudo that has 3 number only cars behind it. The closest is 3040 with 3064 or 3664 ahead of it. I can't make out the third one. The train coming from the opposite direction also has 3 boxcars behind the K.
