We're off and running at Sumpter Valley. In conjunction with the Memorial Day weekend and Flea Market in Sumpter, plus beautiful 80 to 90 degree weather, our season began yesterday. As I was leaving for home (after a week of student specials) the train appeared to be full of travelers. #3 did Her magic for all, plus cinders for everyone (damn that pine bark!). Student specials went well also, with 14 schools from as far away as Caldwell ID and Canby OR (near Portland, a distance of 350 miles).
Baker City Herald did a nice front page article on us Friday with an excellent interior shot of #20, the "Em Eccles Jones" coach.
