Allen: Not only RR Draftsmen but those in about any field. I worked in mechanical equipment, architectural, die design, and RR drafting in my
lifetime. I'm sure I made some errors and I have caught errors by other draftsmen and design engineers. Like the engineer working on the synthetic gasoline refinery during WW2 who sent us a pressure vessel sketch with the nozzles and the supports the same distance from the center line. Or take recreational vehicles, do any of those designers ever go camping? On the other hand, looking at some of the ink on linen RR tracings from the 1880's etc., you have to be in awe of the skill of those early draftsmen. Most
any rail fan would give his eye teeth to have one of those tracings framed and hanging on his wall. Jim
