Rebuilding 487

I had a little time this morning so I started with week 1 in January on shop web site and followed the rebuilding of 487 right up to last Sunday. To think I will probably see the final product this weekend, how neat for a guy who really never understood the complexities of a steam locomotive. And I thought I had a good education.
I thought that sine it was used last summer, just a few minor repair would be sufficient. Was I ever wrong!
